from reminiscing... to reality...

it's been 10 years since we went back to JB for CNY... recollecting the past memories we used to pop by every CNY eve and countdown together w Grandma and uncles and aunties... n of cos the most enjoyable part was to light up mini fireworks of our own! all the households will light up fire crackers and mini fireworks once the Channel 8 TV counts down to 1!!! it wasa beautiful sight with all the fireworks in the sky...

finally.... tis year we went back on CNY eve to have reunion dinner w Grandma and all... Grandma missed us soooo!!! she was so happie to see us... well of cos, she is also very old now... earli 80s but she is still strong enough to live on her own and looks veri tough too! God, bless her w good health :)

we had to take public transport to travel into JB before my youngest Aunt pick us up at City Square... she was late and we decided to chill while waiting for her... Daddy suggested Starbucks (WOW! somebody's "upgraded" now dat he's working for "ang moh" eh! haha!)... funniest thing was none of us actually brought Riggit!!! had to go to money changer immediately haha!...

Daddy kept stressing Mummy to keep a lookout for mi and follow mi wherever i go for my safety... awww so sweet... love Daddy n Mummy sooo muchiez!... N guess wat?! we almost got into the wrong car as i tot the driver resembled my Aunt!!! ok my bad i was too eager n who the hell know how much my Aunt could've changed after 10 years?!!!.... LOL...

had a small surprise when we boarded the car... there was a Shitzu in the car! his name is Bobby, my Aunt's companion... CUTEz! but has bad breath.... hahaha!

Daddy's funny, he used to have a dog in his house when he grew up here... but he is afraid of dogs! i didnt noe dat till we had Cookie! cos he was always the one protecting mi from his dog back at Grandma's hse... here he is, wanna play w Bobby but afraid dat he'll bite him... LOL!

Off to pick up Grandma and my eldest Aunt... Daddy drivin... n i sorta helped him rem the routes cos all routes have been changed and he hasn't been driving here for donkey years...

here's Grandma's hse! the place where we used to have reunion dinner and light up firecrackers!!!... i think it's the onie "antique" house in this street cos the rest of the neighbours have already majorly revamped their houses...

there's Grandma in the kitchen... see it's really those ancient kitchen... cement floor...

used to play in the backyard n pretended to grind soya beans cos there used to be a stone grinder somewhere in the middle, n Grandma reared chickens back here too... n heard from Daddy & Mummy the toilet used to be here!... now it's become Grandma's little green corner, planting passion fruits and veggies...

oh! not forgetting the well!... used to take showers here when i was a kid... the water was DAMN cold loh! i ken still rem complaining to Mummy "y no heater one?!"

nice to see the old house once again...
